Oliver Heald MP - A Public Aplogy II

Mr Heald has quite rightly drawn my attention to the fact that I mis-represented his claims and that he had claimed the total allowable - to the penny - in "petty cash" for 44 month out of 48 over the last four years.

I have unreservedly apologised to Mr Heald by email.

The truth is, he claimed the maximum - to the penny - of £250 for only 43 months out of 48.

However, Mr Heald has tried to suggest - without providing his calculations, that I wrongly stated that he over-claimed against "petty cash" for two years in question. I have defended my assertion here with the numbers and you can see that elsewhere. The contention here is whether or not Mr Heald accepts he has double claimed some months or that my total is correct. He appears to want it both ways.

We still await Mr Healds apology regarding double claims - claims he has not even addressed - preferring instead to find error with me - which is of course his right. But, now Mr Heald - time to find your own humility and your cheque book.
