If you follow the thread in my blog on my MP Oliver Heald (just click Oliver Heald MP above) you will see that he has now "gagged" his staff - instructing them not to talk to me. Plus, he tells me to direct all enquiries to him only and in writing only - he seems to suggest I may not be welcome at his surgeries.

You will see that I have simply wanted to speak with Mr Heald's Office Manager (his wife as it happens) in order to ask her how "petty cash" has been and is handled in their office. This because Mr Heald steadfastly refuses to say how some £3,000 a year (or there abouts), every year, has been accounted for.

Bear in mind Mrs Heald is employed at the "public purse". A coincidence here - no doubt - is that Mrs Heald - "The Office Manager" - was not available to speak to at The House of Commons Office of Mr Heald despite me being told this is where she works. Curious, then that as a result of Mr Heald's "gagging order" on his staff - I am prevented not only from asking reasonable questions about the "petty cash" - but also - conveniently for the Healds - from discovering Mrs Heald in the office - or not in the office - as the case may be. You see. Nice that. All very convenient me thinks.

Really, does MR Heald not see how suspicious this sorry mess is becoming. Obfuscation is a slippery slope.

I will leave you to figure out just what it is Mr Heald - or indeed Mrs Heald - is trying to hide here. But, openness and transparency - this is NOT!.
