Food?

Can anybody tell me why MPs are able to make claims for FOOD? Either at the first or second home? Most people pay for their food bills out of their salary, is there any reason why I should pay for anyone else's? And will we ever be told who is responsible for passing these claims? If payments are authorised, someone has authorised it - who on earth is that?

Well, Susan - is isn't completely mad to pay any employee an allowance for food while they need to be away from home. But, I completely agree that if we have funded a second HOME - well then there can be no good reason for this. Remember who made the rules though? Yes those pesky MPs!
