End MPs' Food Aid

Our MP's can claim Food allowance as part of the second home allowance. This is fixed at £25 per night to a maximum of £400 per month.
Why?
If they were not on parliamentary business then they would pay for food themselves. Why do they receive a daily payment as they already benefit from susidised bars and restuarants in the Westminster buildings.
They do not have to provide receipts therefore it is in affect an additional salary of up to £4,800 per year.
